ELECTRA IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT IT HAS RECEIVED AN ORDER FROM LEHIGH NORTHWEST CEMENT COMPANY.

Electra is pleased to announce that it has received an order from Lehigh Northwest Cement Company for a 7200 tonne barge load of a new product known as high silica geyserite to be delivered later this year.  This delivery of high silica geyserite will be for a unit price substantially more than the normal chalky geyserite.  Electra has delivered its primary product, chalky geyserite to Lehigh in the past, but this is the first order received by Electra for this second product.  Electra is working diligently to create a variety of differing products from its PEM100 Quarry.

In relation to the Chalky Geyserite product and the recently signed 5 year contract, “Mr. Mike Hrizuk, Vice President, Western Region, Ash Grove Cement, said "I am pleased Electra Gold is able to supply chalky geyserite, that meets the stringent requirements of Ash Grove's Seattle Plant.”  We look forward to a long relationship between our companies".  Doug Stelling, Chairman and CEO of Electra reports that, “Electra Gold is pleased with the progress  it has achieved to obtain this contract”.  The overall gross industrial activity for this five year contract including drilling/blasting, trucking, crushing and barging to the Cement Plant is approximately eleven million dollars (Canadian funds).

Electra Gold Ltd. is primarily an industrial mineral producing company and has been delivering mineral products for over one year to the cement industry.  The company controls a number of properties hosting numerous types of mineral products.  Electra plans to evaluate and if appropriate to develop its two properties containing kaolinite, one of which host the geyserite and chalky geyserite deposits.  The company holds a large claim position in the vicinity of the Island Copper Mine and intends to investigate the potential for copper and gold development on these claims.
