ELECTRA GOLD LTD. HAS TAKEN DELIVERY, AT THE APPLE BAY PROJECT YESTERDAY MORNING, OF THE FIRST 2005 WESTERN STAR 4986SX TRIDEM DRIVE TRUCK. THE SECOND TRUCK IS EXPECTED TO BE RECEIVED NEXT WEEK.

Late yesterday morning the first of two specially designed trucks arrived at the PEM 100 Quarry on Electra's Apple Bay Project. The 2005 Western Star 4986SX Tridem drive truck is equipped with a 22 foot Langfab dump body. The truck is powered by a Caterpillar C15 – 550hp engine, 18 speed transmission and 3 drive axels. The truck is pulling a Quad Axle wagon and the package is licensed for 63,500 kgs, the maximum allowable on BC highways. This truck and quad combination is leading edge technology and is expected to reduce costs, increase productivity and profitability for the operation. This truck configuration is the first of its kind to be found on the north end of Vancouver Island. The second truck is expected next week.
