ELECTRA GOLD LTD. HAS RECEIVED AN ORDER FOR 200 TO 250 POUNDS OF HIGH SILICA MATERIAL FROM THE APPLE BAY PROJECT TO BE TESTED IN NORTH CAROLINA FOR A MAJOR SILICA CONSUMER LOCATED IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON.

Electra Gold Ltd. has received an order to deliver 200 to 250 pounds of high silica material for test work to be completed at a facility located in North Carolina.  The Company stated in its request that it has made the decision to commit to testing this material at an expensive laboratory processing center associated with North Carolina State University.  It further states that time is of the essence and that the next stage would require five or more tons to be shipped to the plant located in the state of Washington in the second week of August.

This a significant development and adds to the potential large scale customer base for material derived from the Apple Bay Operation located near Port Hardy, BC on the north end of Vancouver Island.
