MANAGEMENT AT ELECTRA GOLD LTD. HAS ACCEPTED THE RESIGNATION OF HARVEY BAY AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) OF ELECTRA AND APPOINTED MS. SARA LEE GLOVER, B. COMM. (UBC) IN HIS PLACE.

The ongoing and growing business at Shore Gold Inc. and Electra Gold Ltd. have made it increasingly difficult for Mr. Bay to provide necessary attention to both companies.  This and the difficulty dealing with the distances (Mr. Bay is located in Saskatchewan) have led to Electra management appointing a local CFO.  Electra is very grateful for the years of professional contribution which has been made by Mr. Bay on behalf of our company.  We, at Electra, wish Mr. Bay well and look forward to a continuing friendship.

We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Glover to the Electra Team, as CFO.  Ms. Glover has many years of experience successfully managing businesses.  She has been especially active in the hotel and hospitality sector, as well as providing leadership roles with numerous NGOs.  She has been the President of Sedan Enterprises Ltd., which operates the Coquitlam Keg Restaurant and has served as Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce.  She has been actively working in management capacities with affordable housing providers and the local hospital auxiliary.   

Ms. Glover will take an active role in strengthening Electra's financial systems and accounting procedures.
