JAMAL FOCUSES ON BIG PICTURE AND PATERSON MANAGES MINE

Electra is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Rob Paterson to the team.  Mr. Paterson will be a hands-on Production Superintendent at Electra’s producing PEM 100 Quarry.  Mr. Paterson, who is based in Port Hardy, will work closely with Electra’s mining team and customers to ensure operations continue with maximum efficiency.  Mr. Paterson has extensive assaying and managerial mining experience and has previously worked locally and internationally with Teck Cominco and BHP Billiton.  Mr. Paterson is a Certified Industrial Hygenist and an expert in Health & Safety issues.

Effective March 11, 2008 Mr. Salman Jamal has resigned as a member of the Board of Directors for the company.  Mr. Jamal will continue to work closely with Electra to implement its corporate initiatives.  The decision by Mr. Jamal to resign will afford him more time to focus on helping Electra meet future capital requirements, expand their corporate communications strategy and identify potential merger/acquisition targets and joint venture partners. The Board wishes to thank Mr. Jamal for his past service and continued support.
