The Alberta Iron project is located north of Grand Prairie, Alberta. The claims are wholly owned by the Company and cover 572 hectares.
Preliminary sampling indicates material assays in excess of 40% Fe2O3. The area is characterized by outcrops of oolitic sandstone and shale rich in iron, and is part of the Cretaceous Badheart Formation.
In past, the property has been in limited production. The iron hosted in the sandstone and shale is an ideal feed stock for making cement. The property is located close to rail transportation and discussions have been held with Edmonton based customers. |
